ABOUT THE PROVIDER

Dr. Lewis Dickinson is a dynamic General Surgeon bringing remarkable diagnostic and surgical skills to Piedmont General Surgery Associates. He is a physician leader with a focus on compassionate care that is patient centered and outcome driven. As the new Trauma Medical Director at Piedmont Medical Center, he is committed to providing York County and its surrounding areas outstanding trauma, acute care and surgical care. Prior to joining Piedmont General Surgery Associates, he practiced at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for the past 17 years. He served as the Trauma Medical Director and transitioned their trauma program to be the first level II trauma center in SC that was verified by the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Dickinson is also highly trained in robotic procedures with ten years’ robotic experience.

Dr. Dickinson grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
